I really felt the need to write this review on U-Haul and their Trucks.
For those of you that aren't aware of what U-Haul is; it is a moving and storage company.
Anyways, we rented a truck from them for our move to TN. and spent over $2,000 for it. Not only was it a terrible uncomfortable ride but the steering was TOTALLY off! We would turn the wheel and instead of the truck turning it would stay in place. Needless to say, that's not good especially if you are going up and down some steep mountains in the rain and fog.
When we arrived at our house after stopping a million times, we tried to call customer service and they were no help at all! They told us they would reply to our concern by giving us a call back....we waited 2 days after the day they were supposed to call us (they still didn't) so we called them back....amazingly there was NO managers in and they would have to call us back again in a couple of days.
REASONS NOT TO CHOOSE U-HAUL
-Trucks aren't comfortable
-It is nearly impossible to actually fix the problem by talking with a customer service rep.
-Pricey
Take this review seriously or with a grain of salt. It's purely my opinion on the company.
Hi Katie,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by today and for following me. I'm here to return the favor as your newest follower! :)
I HAD to scroll to this post as we JUST moved 2 weeks ago. O. M. G. 2K for a U-haul?! That's insane! I mean... well, we just moved to a house about an hour away - I imagine you moved quite a bit further juding from what you paid... BUT. We paid $129 for a Budget truck. That's why my jaw dropped like crazy!
Anyway... moving sucks all around. Sorry this part sucked especially bad for you, but kudos to you on getting your experience out there to help others.
I look forward to reading more from youi! :)

ReplyDeleteI saw this post and had to comment. Our last experience was a nightmare. Not only was it pricey, but they didn't fill the gas tank and tried to charge us extra for it. And it is pretty pricey. When we moved from Columbus, OH to State College, PA area, it cost an arm and a leg. Then of course, they rented us an in-town vehicle that could not go over 50mph and caused a whole mess of problems once we got to PA. *SIGH*
Sorry you had a bad experience. Sounds miserable.
