Polyvore.com Review

I'm probably the craziest lady on Blogger and I'm not even kidding. I have such a vast array of interests its nuts! One minute I want to draw and the next I want to read. One day I want to create and the next I want to write.
But that's just me!
Pour me a cup of coffee and I'm ready to go ! LOL.
I wanted to share some of my creations I made on Polyvore.com

About Polyvore:
Polyvore is a top style site.
Using the site's virtual styling tool, you can create unique sets that are  collages of clothing, accessories and lifestyle products, which represent high-end designer collections to everyday looks and celebrity styles. You can also create art and interior designs. All of the "sets" or collages you make you can share with users on the site, as well as on Facebook, Twitter and blogs.

My Review:
A++
I really must say that I love this site! Since I change my mind on things so frequently I can try out everything before I but them.
Did I mention you can also do some shopping on Polyvore?
I do recommend this site to anyone who has a creative mind and a love for fashion.

Etsy Shop: Instant Cottage Charm Feature

From their shop:
Vintage kitchen, rusty metal and cottage romance! Find an eclectic mix of styles here. Items to create a comfy cottage feel in your home. Attention food bloggers: add something special to your photos with my wide array of vintage kitchen items. I love finding the unique and bringing it to you!

There is a feature on Etsy that I really love and it's the shop local search. In case you haven't heard, I just recently moved to Sweetwater, TN. from Chicago, IL. I absolutely LOVE it out here!!
Why do I love it:
1. Sweetwater is a very unique, quaint, and charming town.
2. It's beautifully serene.
3. The wide range of boutiques and antique shops.
4. The Country decor!

Anyways, back to the subject on hand....
I performed a search for Etsy Sellers in my area and came upon a great shop called Instant Cottage Charm.

They really have a great mix of everything like their description says and I LOVE that!
My top favorite things from their shop:

           Sarah Coventry Cottage Rose Ring

                     Stacking Clam Steamer Pots

This in particular is one of my VERY favorites from their shop! I think even if you weren't going to make clams in it, you could use it as a unique country decor!

Mid Century Drip Vase in Mint Green

I think there prices are very affordable and they combine shipping!!!
So if you are in the market for something Vintage or unique to give to that special man in your life go on and check out Vintage Cottage Charm!!
Make sure to give them a heart on Etsy while you are there!

What's even cooler is that they are offering my readers 10% off ANYTHING in their shop from now until June 20th! Use the coupon code: TheRandomLife

DIY: Lavender Body Butter

If you know me, I'm always wanting to create art. Give me something to create and I'm on it! I don't have a preference on the medium I use, nor the items. Give me crayons and computer paper and I'm "all good" lol.
While browsing around the net the other day, I found a really easy craft on how to make your own Lavender Body Butter.
I think I might even get some really cute jars and give it as Christmas presents this year!
Maybe a jar like this? Except, I would add a pretty Lavender ribbon to it to make it gorgeous!

Materials you need:
2 oz (55g) Shea butter
1 tsp Jojoba oil
1 tsp Apricot oil
1 oz (30g) coconut oil
1/4 tsp of Lavender essential oil
A few drops of Blue food coloring
Dried/Crushed Lavender (optional)

Mix all the ingredients together and add your essential oils to the mix.
Once mixed store in a container and apply liberally to your skin (or give as a gift!)

Here is where you can buy the materials for it:
Jojoba Oil
Shea Butter
Apricot Oil
Lavender Essential Oil
Blue Food Coloring
(or buy at your local grocery store)
Crushed Lavender (Local Flower shop!)
Easy, huh?
